+ Attendance
We understand having to miss sessions, beacuse life sometimes gets in the way. If a session must be cancelled, even at the last minute, all we ask is that the tutor be notified before the start-time of the session or soon after, to avoid being charged for the missed session time. We encourage consistent weekly lessons, thus chronic absenteeism is counterproductive; students who are unable to maintain a consistent schedule will be encouraged to suspend future sessions until their schedule permits weekly lessons. Consistency and momentum with lessons and test prep is a key to success in school or on tests.
+ Repeated Lateness
We understand having to be late to sessions once in a while, because life sometimes gets in the way. If a student must be late to a session, all we ask is that the tutor be notified before the start-time of the session or soon after, to avoid being charged for the session. However, if a student is repeatedly late for sessions, without prior notice, you may be charged for the entire session time. We value the time of our students, tutors, and their families, and feel it is a must to be considerate of all their busy schedules. We also, encourage promptness with our students to set them up for success with classes, meetings, sports practice, college interviews, etc.
+ Flexible Scheduling
We strongly encourage students to maintain consistent weekly schedules with their tutors, however, we are flexible with scheduling if days/times must change from week to week, or due to extracurricular activities/events, or due to unforeseen circumstances. Also, we strongly suggest rescheduling cancelled or missed sessions.
+ Payment
We accept payments through Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, Square, or check; payment options are indicated on invoices. Itemized biweekly invoices (first and third Mondays every month) will be sent to the email address on file after two weeks of completed lessons. All payments are due within 7 days of delivered invoices. Failure to pay by or on the due date will result in suspension of sessions until payment is received in full.
+ Session Overtime
If the session runs overtime within 10 minutes, you will not be charged. If the session runs 10+ minutes overtime, you will be charged for the overtime amount.
+ Refunds
If at any time you are not completely satisfied with our services and decide to terminate all further tutoring with Praxis Academic Development, you may do so without any penalty or fee and will not be charged for the most recent tutoring session. It is our belief that nobody should ever pay for that which does not meet their high standards. Although, we have never had a student terminate sessions with us. In fact, they continue to refer more students.
+ Referrals
Praxis Academic Development rewards our students with 1 FREE Hour of tutoring every time they refer a new student who enrolls with us. It’s just our way of saying thank you, especially since our company continuously grows organically due to referrals.
+ Etiquette
Students and tutors are expected to afford each other the respect and dignity they deserve. Any breach of this etiquette by either party will result in termination of all future sessions. There are no exceptions as there are no excuses for conducting ourselves in an unprofessional manner.
+ Discrimination
Praxis Academic Development is an inclusive organization that values the diversity of all people. We celebrate diversity, and as such, we will never make any decisions, affecting either a student or member of our organization, that are based on, but not limited to, gender, age, political affiliations, race, religion, ethnicity, etc.
+ Account Suspension
At any time, Praxis Academic Development reserves the right to suspend all tutoring services without prior notice. Potential reasons for account suspension may include, but are not limited to, past due accounts, unprofessional behavior or behavior that could potentially compromise the reputation of Praxis Academic Development.
