+ Does Praxis provide study materials for students?

Praxis tutors have all the necessary materials for lessons. For standardized test preparation, our students are provided with free supplementary practice materials as well as a Praxis Strategy Lesson Plan Books. For academics, our students are provided with supplementary materials, when needed, to further understanding and gear them toward success on standardized tests. However, we do recommend students have their own practice materials for test practice in their own time, and we will suggest the best materials.

+ How much improvement can my student expect from Praxis Test Prep?

Every student is different, and many factors play into a student’s improvements. With our unique approach, most students begin to see results after their very first lesson, and all students see improvements. They learn to approach test questions in a completely new way. Although nothing can be guaranteed, we believe that our superior training approach and test prep strategy offers students immeasurable gains in both academics and standardized tests.

+ Is it possible for our tutor to conduct sessions at our home?

We do not travel to students’ homes or elsewhere for sessions; our online experience is just like being in person and yields the same results. Rest assured, our online tutors are masters at helping students actualize their potential regardless of being on-site with students. We can use any video chat platform that is most convenient for the student.

+ How does Praxis determine the best tutor for me?

+ Can I request a different tutor?

Praxis makes every effort to pair you with the perfect tutor. Our staff considers your specific needs, and based on our experience, we match you with the most suitable tutor. When a student requests a different tutor every effort is made to accommodate their request.

+ Do you offer any minimum score guarantees?

Every student is different, and many factors (external and internal) play into a student’s improvements and success with achieving a goal-score. Due to this, we cannot guarantee test scores. 100% of our students increase their test scores, and 95% achieve scores for admittance into their preferred or pre-professional schools.

+ Do you offer prepay packages or discounts for prepay?

We do not offer prepay packages or discounts for prepaying. As part of our commitment to maximizing the value of our services, we choose not to lock our students into lengthy contracts that oftentimes aren’t fully utilized. We believe that since the learning process is fluid, our service must likewise be fluid. With Praxis, students only schedule and attend sessions that add value to their academic goals. Once they have reached their goals, they are free to discontinue tutoring without the loss of unused hours.

+ Do you offer payment plans?

We do not offer alternative payment plans aside from our biweekly invoices reflecting two weeks of completed lessons and a due date of seven days from the day the invoice was issued.

+ Do you offer any discounts?

Yep! We have great coupons listed on invoices that are redeemable on subsequent invoices.

+ Do you issue a refund if the student doesn't get the score they want?

Because we cannot offer goal-score guarantees due to the many factors (external and internal) that play a role in acheiving the score you want, we do not offer money-back guarantees on sub-optimal final test scores. 100% of our students increase their test scores, and 95% achieve scores for admittance into their preferred or pre-professional schools. It is our sincerest belief that offering refunds for sub-optimal test scores creates a hidden incentive for failure, and that is just not who we are. Instead, we work with our students to prepare them so thoroughly that failure is not an option.

+ Do you tutor school subjects?

While we focus on test preparation, our tutors are highly qualified in teaching various subjects and courses from grade school to college. So, yes, we do tutor students requesting help in school work. Meet the Team to see who can help you with your subject or course.

+ If students do test prep with you, will they have to study on their own in between sessions?

Absolutely! First, we only spend minimal hours per week with students and assign homework to complete before subsequent sessions. Moreover, we have highly recommended supplemental self-study/practice materials in our student portals and strongly recommend that students complete all the materials provided on their own time. We also recommend that students complete at least 4–6 full length practice tests before test day. Test prep is like training for a sports game or performance... all practice sessions must be attended and students must work out and practice in between to win the game or wow the audience. To be utmost successful on a test work must be done between tutoring sessions.
